History
In 1995, a multidisciplinary group of Mexican professionals decided to combine their acquired knowledge and experience to formalize the creation of a company that would contribute to improvement of the environment, society and Mexican industry.CAM legally began operations in Mexico City on September 11 of that year.
Specifically, during ther 1990s, awareness and participation in issues of poverty and the environment grew in Mexican society. During this process, new environmental laws, regulations, and standards were developed, leading to the development of projects to reduce and control atmospheric emissions, wastewater discharges, and the generation of urban solid waste, special handling waste, and hazardous waste. There were also calls for improved wastewater treatment. Respect for natural ecosystems and their restoration in the face of the negative effects of human activity were recognized.
Interest also grew in regularizing the management of liquid, solid, and hazardous waste and above all, in recognizing respect for natural ecosystems and their restoration in the face of negative anthropogenic effects.
This combination allowed CAM to experience rapid reowth, placing us today as a leading company in technology, innovation and quality within the business segment in which we operate.

Directorate of operations for evaluation, management and socio-environmental auditing
At CAM, we have over two decades of continuous experience collaborating on the development of large-scale projects, providing comprehensive solutions for global firms in the main productive sectors of the economy and key sources of employment, wealth, and well-being in Mexico.
For the establishment of any major infrastructure, whether new or a major expansion, compliance with a set of regulatory obligations is required throughout the various stages of the project; these include prior to installation, during construction and operation, and after the completion of its useful life and purpose.
Through the Directorate of Operations, Evaluation, Management, and Socio-Environmental Audit (DOEGASA), CAM has an operational division specialized in the execution of preliminary studies, which assist in determining the technical and scientific feasibility of projects necessary for high-level decision-making. This study places special emphasis on the procurement and generation of reliable information, often based on direct field research, through the development of environmental baselines for the characterization of the biotic and abiotic environments within which operations will be established. These baselines, in turn, inform the technical and scientific studies required for authorization in terms of social and environmental impact and risk assessment, and for the implementation of land-use changes, as dictated by applicable Mexican regulations.
CAM also provides direct assistance in the management of environmental procedures before the competent authorities at all levels of government, both for new projects and for monitoring those that already have the proper authorizations and require assistance in updating, correcting, clarifying compliance status, or even regularizing with government agencies.
At CAM, we stand out for having the necessary material and human resources to support our clients throughout the life of their projects to ensure full compliance at all stages, from conceptualization to completion and closure.
The range of services provided through DOEGASA includes: the design and development of baseline studies; environmental impact statements; technical studies justifying land use changes in forest lands; attention, monitoring, and reporting of measures, terms, and conditions in accordance with authorizations regarding environmental impact and risk and land use changes and surveillance programs; design and implementation of wildlife rescue and relocation programs; Maintenance of rescued flora specimens and reforestation; determination of the regulatory framework applicable to industrial operations in environmental, health, and safety matters and management of associated procedures; regulatory compliance assessments and internal audits in environmental, health, and safety matters; socioeconomic studies, to name the most emblematic.
Directorate of operations in contaminated site investigation and hydrogeology
The Directorate of Operations in Contaminated Site Investigation and Hydrogeology (DOISCH) is the area responsible for developing one of the main lines of business within the scope of environmental services offered by CAM.
Within the segment of contaminated site characterization and restoration (soil and groundwater), CAM, through its DOISCH (National Institute of Waste Management), is a pioneer, comprehensive, and cutting-edge company.
A pioneer, because for more than 25 years we have been introducing specialized technical consulting services, mechanical drilling and environmental sampling, determination of specific remediation levels based on environmental risk, and the extensive use of geographic information systems in all our projects to the Mexican market.
Comprehensive, because we have the human, material, and infrastructure resources necessary, which, combined with our highly specialized knowledge, extensive technical capacity, and vast accumulated experience, allow us to provide a range of services unparalleled in the Mexican market. We manage everything from an initial environmental site assessment with exploratory and detailed sampling of soil, groundwater, and waste for environmental site characterization purposes, including environmental risk assessment studies, to the remediation of contaminated sites.
Cutting-edge, because it has and operates equipment specifically designed and dedicated exclusively to mechanical drilling for environmental sampling of soil and groundwater, advanced equipment for identification (Geophysics) and clearance of underground infrastructure (air/vacuum excavation), and high-resolution instruments for on-site, real-time characterization of contaminated areas (MiHPT).
Comprised of a permanent interdisciplinary group of 25 professionals, including Geological, Geophysical, Civil, Surveying, and Environmental Systems Engineers, as well as Geographers and Drilling Technicians, CAM, through its DOISCH (National Institute of Statistics and Geography), is the only consulting firm in Mexico accredited by the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA) and approved by the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA) for sampling soil contaminated by hydrocarbons, metals, and metalloids, as well as groundwater and waste.
Likewise, CAM is authorized for the transportation of hazardous waste by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) and the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT). It is also registered as an authorized company for the remediation of contaminated sites by the Agency for Safety, Energy, and Environment (ASEA), as well as by SEMARNAT itself.
Since the early 1990s, we have developed multiple projects for a wide range of companies in the most diverse industrial sectors in our country, providing scientific solutions to more than a dozen complex projects with seemingly unsolvable problems.
We have conducted more than 1,000 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) on industrial properties and facilities throughout the country, supporting our national and international clients in their business processes.
In the main industrial zones and production centers in Mexico, we have conducted more than 500 investigations and services related to soil, groundwater, and waste, focused on Environmental Site Characterization.
In some of these projects where the presence of various contaminants has been detected, investigations have focused on identifying them and determining the magnitude of their impact on the soil and groundwater, applying the most modern drilling techniques for sampling and installing monitoring wells. Occasionally, these investigations are complemented by hydrogeological and geophysical studies.
Based on the results of the Environmental Characterization of Contaminated Sites studies and the Environmental Risk Assessment studies conducted by CAM, we have also assisted our clients in selecting the most appropriate remediation techniques and processes in terms of time/cost/benefit, as well as in their implementation and operation, with successful results in all cases.
Security protocols
At CAM, we apply national and international occupational health and safety concepts, regulations, and standards to promote and implement a culture of prevention for the elimination and reduction of occupational risks, providing safe and healthy conditions for our multidisciplinary teams.
Our commitment to safety and environmental protection is based on our Safety, Health, and Environmental Protection Policy and Suspension of Work Policy.
To implement this policy, CAM has developed and implemented an Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on the NMX-SAST-45001-IMNC-2018 (ISO 45001:2018) standard, which includes a manual, policies, protocols, and operating procedures.
As part of our health protocols, in response to the new global reality, CAM is authorized by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), which establishes that we meet all the conditions to maintain all our operations without jeopardizing the health of our team. Likewise, at CAM, we follow the guidelines of health authorities at all levels in Mexico, as well as the recommendations of international bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This gives our clients the confidence that all our activities are carried out in strict adherence to applicable regulations and with the necessary care for the protection of our employees and clients.
